Based in San Diego County, Liz Holakiewicz, RN, BSN, CCM, CNLCP, provides individualized life care plans and cost projections for disabled or catastrophically injured individuals.  Liz provides expert witness services when needed.

As a certified case manager for a private case management company and in her own independent practice, Liz  coordinated medical treatment by collaborating with physicians, therapists, counselors, insurance companies, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs, community agencies and attorneys to facilitate quality care for individuals with life changing injuries.  Her knowledge of resources and the collaborative skills used in case management serve as foundation for her life care planning practice as well.


Liz is actively involved in her profession.  She is a member in a variety of professional organizations. She has presented at national and local meetings on the topic of life care planning and cost research. She served on the Certification Board for the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners.  Liz  participated in American Board of Nursing Specialties meetings as a liaison for her Certification Board position.  She has also served for a year as one  the  IARP- Life Care Planning Section Board, and as President for the San Diego Chapter of AALNC.


Liz was awarded a patient advocacy award by her case management peers in 1994.
